OCR: The Ward Willits House in High land Park Illinois is an earhy 90 expres- sion of Wright's concept of "organic architecture. Itis basically cruciform in plan, with the hearth as usualin Wright's work, near the center. While the wings are balanced in program, they are not quite aligned from front to back aid side to side thus creating a pinwheel effect. This greater sense of dynamism and fluidity than found with the traditional cru ciform plan. The fluidity is further enhanced by the treatment tof the expansive roof which separated from the stucco walls by bands of and allowed to -float above the body of the house
